The Fort Lauderdale Agreement is a set of guidelines for fair use of community resource data (particularly generated by large-scale genome sequencing projects) as detailed in the publication produced from the Fort Lauderdale Meeting, 2003.

Essentially, the agreement reaffirms a balance between fair use (i.e. no pre-emptive publication) and early disclosure.
