I am an incoming sophomore. I am interested in computational biology and bioengineering to the extent that I find 
them intriguing but I am aware that I understand little of the biological workings behind our field. I worked over 
the summer in the Anderson Lab but have no real background in practical molecular biology. My real-world programming 
experience is negligible, but I am familiar with:

• Pascal
• Scheme (LISP dialect)
• Java
• Perl
