Gene wikis

"Gene wiki" is a somewhat ambiguous phrase that is typically understood to mean a wiki-fied version of a gene database.

This could be a wiki whose pages discussed genes in an individual genome (c.f. the FlyBase gene pages) or entries in a database (such as Pfam families, or GeneOntology terms).

For example:

• Zebrafish genome wiki
• contributions to Wikipedia
  • The Gene Wiki Portal (Su et al)
  • WikiProject RNA (RFAM et al)

Not to be confused with:

• Genome Wiki -- i.e. a wikified Genome Browser
